“I invite you to meet your voice in shapes and frequencies you perhaps haven’t encountered before”.

This workshop introduces a range of experimental and extreme vocal techniques used in Jana Jacuka’s performance “HA”, such as grunting, fry-screaming, high-pitched singing, yodelling and other textured vocalities. Within a playful environment, participants are invited to explore how these sounds live in their bodies and how they can be shaped into performative materials.

No prior vocal training is required; only curiosity and a willingness to make noise! We will also be moving our bodies, so please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. You can also work in socks or barefoot.
