Workshop
July 12 | 15.00-19.00 |
Queer communities across the world are facing discrimination to various degrees. Even if European laws are promising protection from discrimination, most authorities don’t guarantee any support in real life. The result is a traumatized demographic of queers facing drastic mental health issues and a lack of self-esteem. QUEEREEOKÉ understand their mission in not only bringing attention to these uncomfortable facts, but also in giving queer communities a chance to escape the toxic narratives about themselves and step into their power. The workshop is a tool to bring queer communities a spark of hope and boost their sense of self-love and enhance their healing process from daily micro-aggressions. The workshop focusses on the participants’ individual strengths and potential as well as a sense of communal solidarity and uses the means of movement, meditation, voice and performative artistic expression.
