Political instrument of control and oppression, or lifesaver of social equilibrium? quotidianacom works on the concept of taboo, confronting the forbidden and the prohibitions that disobedience or transgression struggle to demolish, rooted as they are in our DNA, not by choice but by constitution. Through the mechanism of dialogue on which they have built their stylistic signature, between electric jokes and surreal curtains dipped in curare, or incongruous to the point of absurdity, Scappin and Vannoni fathom concepts protected by the aegis of morality, which often have no real relevance to the moral being.

Roberto Scappin and Paola Vannoni founded quotidianacom in Rimini in 2003. In 2008, with the Trilogia dell’inesistente- esercizi di condizione umana (Trilogy of the non-existent – exercises of the human condition) , the company fully expressed its artistic profile. In 2019, it participated in the Biennale Teatro with a segment of its own production. A strong political motivation is at the basis of a work that seeks to tackle themes from an uncomfortable point of view, expressing what is not even correct to think about.
