Davide Valrosso Livorno, Italy
Smog (titolo provvisorio)

Starting from a previous research called “LOVE Paradisi artificiali” about the relationship between love and addiction, Davide Valrosso | NINA is working for KRAKK on “SMOG (titolo provvisorio)”, a project that investigates misting, confusion and opacity, beyond the hallucinogenic sphere. Valrosso imagines flavors, tensions and landscapes: it is the need to create a path with more blurred contours, giving matter to beings (dancers and musician) who grope in an atmosphere that moves between white and muffled black, observed by a constant presence, quiet and disturbing.
Bio
Davide Valrosso graduated at the English National Ballet, then he attended several training centers, such as London Contemporary School, Rambert School, Rafineri. For five years he worked with Virgilio Sieni’s company, both as a dancer and as a performer and trainer at the Accademia sull’Arte del Gesto in Florence. As a performer he has collaborated with many visual artists and choreographers. He also develops his own research on dance: with his works he has participated at many festivals and exhibitions in Italy and abroad (Spain, Romania, Croatia, India and Korea). Davide Valrosso works on the continuous listening of the present, focusing his research on the origin of the transformation in the gesture and the discovery of the invisible energies that guide the movement. He is the artistic director of NINA.
