Valmatrek invites you on a cool and shaded urban excursion among rivers, hills and tree-lined paths, to discover the wonderful nature that surrounds Santarcangelo. Starting from Piazza Ganganelli, you reach Mutonia, for a short visit to the artist community. From here, the excursion turns to “water trekking” along the Marecchia riverbed, to the ancient Ariminus, which gave its name to the city of Rimini, in the direction of Poggio Torriana. Reaching the old UNICEM cement factory, you leave the riverbed to move to the first hills above the village, passing through the Collina dei Poeti (Hill of Poets) and along the bank of the river Uso, and then entering the woods of Monte Giove, where several paths branch off. The excursion ends with a nice toast at Gola.
