Massimo Monticelli is a dancer, choreographer and teacher from Bologna. He graduated with honors from Trinity Laban (London), from the Master’s in Performance (VERVE) at NSCD in Leeds, and spent a period of study at the National Conservatory of Paris, while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and a Master’s degree in Theatre Disciplines at University of Bolognas. In recent years, Massimo has danced in pieces by international choreographers in several European countries, and in 2022 he began a collaboration as performer with Italian choreographer Nicola Galli. In 2021, his project “Cassandra o della Verità” won the national call ERetici and then debuted at the Gender Bender International Festival. In 2020 Massimo co-founded the Swiss company EREM dance, with whom he worked as dramaturg and choreography consultant. In 2022 Massimo was selected for Nuove Traiettorie XL, for the ATLAS track at the ImPulsTanz festival in Vienna, and as a finalist in the DNAppunti Coreografici call.
