WOW is existential intimacy, a new perspective, a point of view coming from darkness, ready to let the light take over for one more day. In their latest work, Falene, the songs expand and fray like shadows in the firelight. The Roman band – born between 2009 and 2010 – creates velvety, retro songs, stories of a metropolitan past, narrating the nocturnal and bare reality of a mysterious and intimate Pigneto, which suddenly turns into the set of a 1960s film. Italian music of that era, with the beat of sophisticated pop, its groove and spectrality, lullabies and hypnotic images resonate along a sacred path, as a weapon, a reaction, a nocturnal ritual that becomes an eloquent but essential survival routine.
