Il teatro concepito dal norvegese Ane Lan si basa su quadri viventi, performance di durata breve che interpretano la condizione domestica e personale della Storia, la vita interiore degli uomini comuni che, sproporzionata rispetto alla dimensione universale, giace in una dolorosa rassegnazione. L’ambientazione, di volta in volta pop, naïf, cinematografica o preraffaelita, del tutto ordinaria oppure da casa delle bambole, è soltanto apparentemente ironica. La durezza dei colori manifesta tutto lo straniamento che Ane Lan mette in scena anche attraverso il travestitismo. I suoi personaggi arrendevoli ricercano quadri di silenzio, di estraneità, di incongruenza, ma anche di glaciale giudizio politico. L’innocenza velata di melanconia vuole essere anche un consapevole ritorno alla percezione infantile del mondo.

Ane Lan (Oslo, 1972), diplomato all’Istituto d’Arte e Design di Oslo, lavora nell’ambito teatrale, musicale e del cinema sperimentale. Numerose le sue partecipazioni e performance in Europa e in America. Nel 2005 è stato ospite alla Biennale di Venezia - Sezione Teatro e del ”Progetto Musica” del Goethe Institute a Roma.
